This KA-BAR Short is the smaller version of the KA-BAR 1214 USMC. Materials, finishes, shapes: all the same. Only the size has been reduced to 75% of the original. As such you can take it with you a little more easily.

The design of the KA-BAR short 1942 is based on the USMC combat knife that was already used in 1942 by the United States Marine Corps as the standard combat knife for the marines. Ever since this knife is a part of the standard equipment of many soldiers. The handle is enhanced with protective parts to make sure you will never end up on the razor-sharp edge during heavy-duty use. The blade is made from 1095-carbon steel. This steel, however, is not corrosion-resistant. Fortunately the blade is enhanced with a black coating to make sure maintenance is a lot easier.

The knife comes with a nice leather sheath to safely carry it with you.
